Soft bounce is a type of email bounce that occurs when an email cannot be delivered temporarily to the recipient’s inbox due to a temporary technical issue on the recipient’s side, such as a full inbox, a temporary system downtime, or an email size limit being reached.
The email server usually tries to deliver the email again later. Unlike a hard bounce, a soft bounce does not indicate an invalid email address or permanent delivery failure, and the email can still be delivered successfully at a later time.
